This is a very late post but life has been hectic around here 🙂
Two and a half weeks ago, dh and I celebrated our 15th anniversary. But I never got around posting or mentioning it as that was the week we were all hit with a bad cold virus 🙁 All 9 of us came down with it within 3 days. In fact, 2 children are still having a remnant cough.
But I do so want to give glory to God for sustaining our marriage and for giving us 7 children along the way 😀 And this is as good a time as any other to share with you and abridged version of our love story 🙂
We met in December 1989 at the yet to be officially opened Singapore Indoor Stadium. Till today, I still marvel at how the Lord led us to each other. In the midst of hundreds of performers (solo and groups) who were gathered there for the official opening of the Stadium by then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew (now Minister Mentor), dh’s singing group and my dance group were brought together – first back stage and then on stage! How can it not be a God thing? 😀
We dated for 5 years before we got married in 1995. So that means we have known each other for more than 20 years!
It has been an eventful 15 years where we’ve had to first adjust to each other’s idiosyncrasies and then when the children came, had to adjust to living with each other’s idiosyncrasies on limited sleep! 🙂
I do not want to take what we have for granted. I just want to thank God for bringing us together and for sustaining us the past 15 years, through the ups and downs. I pray that He will continue to watch over our marriage and our family life. And that He will bless us with many more years of love and laughter.
That is so sweet!
