Sorry that this post is only coming out today. I thought the Homeschool Curriculum Fair was next week! It isn’t. It is tomorrow, Wednesday, 6th April 2016!!!
Please do visit this Facebook LINK to sign up if you are attending so that the organisers can get a feel for the numbers involved. And for more details. There are lots and lots of stuff happening this year.
In case you don’t have or want a Facebook account, here are the important details to note :
0ADDRESS: Pandan Valley Road
BUSES: 7, 61, 75, 156, 165
PARKING: Available (Note: Not in RED residents’ lots)
Besides moms showcasing the curriculum they have used/are using just to share their resources, talks by Liberty Online Academy, Waldorf Steiner Association, among others, have been scheduled as well.
There will also be some new (e.g. Math-U-See) and pre-loved books, games and yarn (for finger-knitting and chain-making) that will be sold. So bring CASH along!
Please note that this is unlike the curriculum fair homeschoolers have in the States where vendors display their stuff and they are able to buy curricula (except for Jenny’s Math-U-See stuff). It is a fair to share the curriculum we have used and loved or used and found not suitable for our individual families. This is very helpful since most of us will never get a chance to see and touch actual homeschool products before buying it if not for this annual fair.
And even if you have already decided and ordered what you will use this year, the fair is a great place to meet other homeschooling families, and for your children to hang around and play with fellow homeschoolers.
Again, sorry for posting this so late!
