😀
Yes, I have not been posting much either here or at Building Up Moms. Yep. So much so that I actually forgot how to log into my account! Faint!
So I figured I had better try to write more 🙂 Like lots of mommy bloggers, I have loads to write but very limited time. So lots of posts have been written in my head 😛 But that won’t do you or me any good, right?
So this is an update type of post 🙂
Eczema : On Monday, we will go to see the doctor for a review of the Leaky Gut Test that he recommended to see if dd has, well, a leaky gut 😀 And what our next steps should be.
A BIG thank you to all who have prayed and are praying with us. There has been vast improvement but the eczema monster is stubborn 🙁 And we are going on a family trip soon where we will have to go off the elimination diet for a few days. Yes, she is happy about that but I am, let’s say, concerned. Oh me of little faith 🙁
PSLE : Our oldest has gone through the PSLE mill (6th, 7th, 8th and 11th October) and we survived! Actually it wasn’t as awful as it is made out to be and I guess it’s because we are largely isolated from other PSLE-ers 🙂 Since I have no idea what and how these parents are drilling their kids I lived in blissful ignorance. In fact, ds was so free and relaxed in the days that led up to it that I became concerned!
Ds said every paper was “ok” – whatever that means! 🙂 But then he also said that his Chinese paper was easier than the Science! Imagine that! 😀
We’ll know what his “ok” means come end of November. And I am sure everyone is waiting with abated breath to see if our experiment is a success or not 🙂 In our hearts of hearts, we do know that this is not the end all or be all of his and our lives. Yes, we would like him to do well but it is really not an indicator of his future success or failure.
Our being obedient to the call God placed on our lives is what we focus on. And for him, he has done his best. So we leave it all in His Hands.
And in case you are wondering, yes, as things stand now, (or ceteris paribus as my economics lecturer liked to say :)) we will be continuing our homeschool adventure with him.
I am now reading up on the various options out there and the curriculum best suited for it. If you have any suggestions, I am open to hear it.
You are amazing! I don’t know how you do it. You are an inspiration to many out there including myself. This is a milestone for you. Congrats!
Thanks but all glory goes to God.

Hi Serene,
Where do you go to see the doc that does the leaky gut test? I am suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis and suspects that it is caused by leaky gut too, cos food elimination does help, but oh so agonising trying to eliminate anything processed, salted, sugared, gluten, wheat, etc…. So I totally understand what you mean!
Hi! The clinic name is Integrated Medicine Clinic. 8 Biomedical Grove #01-04. Neuros the Biopolis. 6333 8618. Dr Ian Lee.
Yes it is a pain but the pay off is worth it IMO. Any way in the long run, all those foods are bad for us. We eat way too much of the unhealthy stuff.
