There are many reasons people give for either not having a child or for stopping at one child. But it is really my humble opinion that it all boils down to our attitude towards children in general.
We do NOT view them as blessings. We see them as a burden, as a liability.
Sure, we pay lip service that they are blessings but our actions do not reflect this at all. Children are viewed as a big financial drain, they curb our lifestyles, hinder our career paths, spoil our figures, etc…
Before you throw a shoe at me :P, think about it – If we really view them as blessings, a heritage (Psalm 127:3) as the Bible calls them, we will do all that we can to have children and not choose voluntary infertility.
We will make it work. We will stop making excuses.
Think about it.
